Madden NFL 93 released in 1992 with John Madden on the cover, adding a no-huddle two-minute mode and the era's signature big-hit feedback that made it a living-room staple.

Dallas won Super Bowl XXVII, 52-17 over Buffalo, Troy Aikman named game MVP. Steve Young won regular-season MVP with 25 touchdown passes and a 107.0 rating, Emmitt Smith led the league with 1,713 rushing yards, Dan Marino paced the NFL with 4,116 passing yards, and Cortez Kennedy won Defensive Player of the Year on a 2-14 Seattle team.

The Cowboys' young core of Aikman, Smith, and Michael Irvin announced itself with a blowout that began a dynasty. Kennedy's individual season, dominant on a two-win club, remains one of the great defensive years and a benchmark rating for an interior lineman.
