Myles Garrett was born on December 29, 1995 in Arlington, Texas. He broke the SEC freshman sack record at Texas A&M in 2014 and was a unanimous All-American in 2016, and the Cleveland Browns took him first overall in the 2017 draft. He had seven sacks in 11 games as a rookie. Madden NFL 18 rated him 83.
On November 14, 2019 Garrett struck Pittsburgh quarterback Mason Rudolph with Rudolph's helmet and was suspended for the rest of the season. The NFL reinstated him on February 12, 2020. Madden NFL 20 rated him 91 for the 2019 season. He was named first-team All-Pro in 2020 and 2021, and Madden NFL 23 rated him 99 for the 2022 season.
Garrett won Defensive Player of the Year in 2023 and was first-team All-Pro that year and again in 2024, a season for which Madden NFL 25 rated him 98. In 2025 he recorded 23 sacks, breaking the single-season record of 22.5 that Michael Strahan set in 2001, and won a second Defensive Player of the Year award. He finished nine seasons in Cleveland as the franchise's all-time sacks leader with seven Pro Bowl selections, and the Browns traded him to the Los Angeles Rams in 2026.
