An undrafted, face-painted sack machine from the inside

John Randle went undrafted out of Texas A&I, painted his face like a warrior, talked nonstop, and turned into one of the greatest interior pass rushers who ever lived. Undersized for tackle, he beat much bigger men with pure quickness for Minnesota.

Madden climbed him from a 52 early to a 95 by the 2000 edition, the peak of a run of double-digit-sack seasons. Seven Pro Bowls, more than 130 career sacks from the middle, and a Hall of Fame bust followed. For a defensive tackle, those numbers are absurd.
