One of the surest legs of his era, with a caveat

Matt Stover made his living on precision, one of the most accurate kickers the game has produced, moving with the franchise from Cleveland to Baltimore and converting a remarkably high percentage season after season.

Madden had him at a 98 by the 2002 edition, though kicker overalls ride on a few leg and accuracy attributes that push the grade near the ceiling for the best specialists rather than signaling parity with a 98 skill player. Read that way it marks an elite leg. A Super Bowl XXXV ring later, at 42 he became the oldest player ever to score in a Super Bowl on a late run with Indianapolis.
