Derrick Henry was born on January 4, 1994 in Yulee, Florida, won the Heisman Trophy at Alabama in 2015, and was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the second round, 45th overall, in 2016. He started two games in each of his first two seasons behind DeMarco Murray. Madden NFL 17 rated him 74 for the 2016 season.
He led the NFL with 1,540 rushing yards in 2019 and made his first Pro Bowl. In 2020 he ran for 2,027 yards, the eighth 2,000-yard season in league history, and was named first-team All-Pro and Offensive Player of the Year. Madden NFL 21 rated him 93 for that season. A broken foot limited him to eight games in 2021. He rushed for 1,538 yards in 2022, and Madden NFL 23 rated him 97 for that year.
He signed with Baltimore in March 2024 and ran for 1,921 yards and 16 touchdowns at age 30, averaging a career-best 5.9 yards per carry; Madden NFL 25 rated him 94 for the season. He agreed to a two-year, $30 million extension on May 14, 2025, then rushed for 1,595 yards and 16 touchdowns. Through the 2025 season he had 12,892 rushing yards and 122 rushing touchdowns.
