Brett Favre was born on October 10, 1969 in Gulfport, Mississippi, played quarterback at Southern Miss, and was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the second round in 1991, 33rd overall. Atlanta traded him to Green Bay for a first-round pick in February 1992, and he took over the starting job that September. Madden NFL 94 put him at a calculated 66 for the 1993 season.

Favre won the NFL Most Valuable Player award in 1995, 1996 and 1997, and Green Bay beat New England 35-21 in Super Bowl XXXI on January 26, 1997. Madden NFL 98 put him at a calculated 99 for the 1997 season. He started all 16 games in each of his last 15 seasons in Green Bay. Madden NFL 04 rated him 98 for 2003, and Madden NFL 08 rated him 89 for 2007, the year he threw 28 touchdown passes and the Packers reached the NFC Championship Game.

He played 2008 with the New York Jets and 2009 and 2010 with Minnesota, retiring after the 2010 season with 297 consecutive regular-season starts, 71,838 passing yards and 508 touchdown passes. He later repaid $1.1 million in speaking fees tied to a Mississippi welfare audit and denied wrongdoing. Green Bay retired his number 4 in July 2015, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame inducted him in August 2016.
