Charles Woodson won the Heisman at Michigan, something no primarily defensive player had done, then won Defensive Rookie of the Year to start one of the longest, most productive careers any defensive back has had. He reinvented himself as a safety late and never stopped taking the ball away.

Madden had him at 92 and a 98 by the 2002 edition, his first Raiders prime, tracking him through eighteen seasons. A 2009 Defensive Player of the Year and Super Bowl XLV title in Green Bay, 65 interceptions, nine Pro Bowls and a 2021 Hall of Fame nod later, the Heisman was only the beginning.
