Ravens tight end from Mesa: two Pro Bowls, Ring of Honor 2014

Todd Heap was born on March 16, 1980 in Mesa, Arizona, and played tight end at Arizona State. Baltimore drafted him 31st overall in 2001. He played 12 games with six starts as a rookie, and Madden NFL 02 rated him 69.

He caught 68 passes for 836 yards and six touchdowns in 2002 and was selected to his first Pro Bowl. He returned to the Pro Bowl after the 2003 season and was named second-team Associated Press All-Pro. Madden NFL 04 rated him 90. Injury limited him to six games in 2004, and Madden NFL 05 rated him 96. He started all 16 games in each of the next two seasons, and Madden NFL 07 rated him 95.

Baltimore released him on July 29, 2011, and Arizona signed him days later. He left the Ravens as the franchise's career leader in touchdown catches. Two seasons with the Cardinals closed out a career of 499 receptions for 5,869 yards and 42 touchdowns. He retired in 2013, and Baltimore inducted him into the Ravens Ring of Honor in 2014.
