A gifted tight end whose later life turned dark
Kellen Winslow II, son of a Hall of Fame tight end, overcame a serious motorcycle accident to become one of the most productive receiving tight ends of his time, fast and sure-handed for Cleveland. Injuries wore him down across later stops.
Madden had him at 85 and a 97 by the 2008 edition, his best stretch. His post-football life took a grave turn: he was convicted of multiple sexual assaults and sentenced in 2021, a serious matter that should be stated plainly and kept separate from the on-field card.
