Larry Foote: 818 tackles, Super Bowls XL and XLIII with Pittsburgh
Larry Foote was born June 12, 1980 in Detroit, Michigan, played at Pershing High School in the city, and was a first-team All-American and Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year at Michigan in 2001. The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted him in the fourth round of the 2002 NFL draft with the 128th pick. He played 16 games without a start in 2003, a season Madden NFL 04 listed him at 65 for, before becoming a starting inside linebacker in 2004.
Foote made 102 tackles in 2005, intercepted Jake Plummer in the AFC Championship Game, and won Super Bowl XL over Seattle on February 5, 2006. Madden NFL 06 rated him 84 for the 2005 season. He started all 16 games in 2008 and won a second ring in Super Bowl XLIII on February 1, 2009; Madden NFL 09 had him at 86 for that season. He was released on May 4, 2009 and spent a year with his hometown Detroit Lions.
He returned to Pittsburgh in 2010 and set a career high of 113 tackles in 2012, a season Madden NFL 13 listed him at 79 for. His 2013 season ended after one game, and he finished with Arizona in 2014. Foote played 187 games with 134 starts, 818 tackles, 25 sacks and four interceptions. He joined the Arizona coaching staff in 2015 and moved to Tampa Bay in 2019, where he was on the staff that won Super Bowl LV.
