Andre Reed Madden Career 1992-2000 - Peak 96 OVR

Andre Darnell Reed was born on January 29, 1964, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, played quarterback at Dieruff High School and moved to wide receiver at Kutztown University, where he caught 142 passes for 2,020 yards. The Buffalo Bills selected him in the fourth round of the 1985 NFL Draft with the 86th pick. He was chosen for seven consecutive Pro Bowls from 1988 through 1994 and was named second-team All-Pro by the Associated Press in 1989 and 1990.

On January 3, 1993, Reed caught eight passes for 136 yards and three second-half touchdowns as Buffalo overturned a 32-point deficit against the Houston Oilers. He played in four straight Super Bowls, XXV through XXVIII, and recorded 27 receptions in those games. Madden NFL 93 put him at a calculated 79 for the 1992 season. He set a career high of 90 catches in 1994, with 1,303 yards, and Madden NFL 95 rated him a calculated 96 for that year.

Reed spent 15 seasons in Buffalo. Madden NFL 99 had him at a calculated 94 for 1998, and Madden NFL 2000 at a calculated 89 for 1999, his last season with the Bills. Buffalo released him in the 2000 offseason during a salary-cap purge, and he finished his career with 13 games for Washington that year. He retired with 951 receptions for 13,198 yards and 87 touchdowns and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on August 2, 2014.
