Randy Moss was born February 13, 1977 in Rand, West Virginia, played college football at Marshall, and was drafted by Minnesota with the 21st pick in 1998. He caught 69 passes for 1,313 yards and 17 touchdowns as a rookie, won Offensive Rookie of the Year, and was named first-team All-Pro. Madden NFL 99 put him at a calculated 92 for that season. On November 26, 1998 he caught three passes for 163 yards and three touchdowns at Dallas.
Madden NFL 04 rated him 98 for 2003, the third of his four first-team All-Pro seasons. Minnesota traded him to Oakland before the 2005 season, and Madden NFL 06 rated him 99 for that year. The Raiders traded him to New England for a fourth-round pick during the 2007 draft.
Moss caught 98 passes for 1,493 yards and 23 touchdowns in 2007, setting the single-season record for receiving touchdowns for a team that went 16-0 in the regular season. Madden NFL 09 rated him 99 for 2008. He played for Minnesota, New England and Tennessee in 2010 and closed his career with San Francisco in 2012, finishing with 982 receptions for 15,292 yards and 156 touchdowns. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018.
