A rangy, hard-hitting linebacker on a lot of hard-luck teams

Takeo Spikes was a fast, physical, productive linebacker who spent much of his career on teams that could not get him to the playoffs. The Auburn product covered ground and hit hard, a two-time Pro Bowler and a respected leader wherever he went.

Madden had him at a 97 in the 2005 edition, the peak of his run in Buffalo. Fifteen seasons and countless tackles later, he was one of the most underappreciated defenders of his time.
