Stefon Diggs was born on November 29, 1993 in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and played at Maryland. Minnesota took him in the fifth round in 2015, 146th overall, and Madden NFL 16 rated him 71. He passed 1,000 receiving yards in 2018 and again in 2019, by which point the rating had reached 93.

On January 14, 2018 he caught a 61-yard touchdown from Case Keenum as time expired to beat New Orleans 29-24 in the divisional round. Minnesota traded him to Buffalo in March 2020, and in his first season there he led the NFL with 127 catches and 1,535 yards. He was a first-team All-Pro that year and made four straight Pro Bowls from 2020 through 2023, with his rating peaking at 97 in Madden NFL 22.

Buffalo traded him to Houston in April 2024. He tore an ACL on October 27 that year against Indianapolis, eight games in. He signed with New England in March 2025, caught 85 passes for 1,013 yards, and played in the Super Bowl LX loss to Seattle. New England released him in March 2026 and Washington signed him in August. Madden NFL 26 rated him 88. Through the 2025 season he had 942 receptions for 11,504 yards and 74 touchdowns.
