Antonio Pierce called the defense that beat the undefeated Patriots. Undrafted out of Arizona in 2001, he clawed from special teams to become the on-field brain of the Giants, the linebacker who set the front and read the play a beat early.
Madden pegged him at 55 in the lean years and a 95 by the 2008 edition, right after he quarterbacked the defense that pulled off the Super Bowl XLII upset. He was never the fastest man on the field, only the one who knew where everyone was supposed to be.
