Kevin Faulk: 13 seasons in New England, three Super Bowl titles
Kevin Faulk was born on June 5, 1976 in Lafayette, Louisiana, and played at Carencro High School before four years at LSU, where he was a first-team All-American in 1996 and left with a school-record 4,557 rushing yards. New England drafted him in the second round, 46th overall, in 1999. Madden NFL 2000 carried a calculated 87 for a rookie season in which he gained 1,358 all-purpose yards.
Faulk led the Patriots with 570 rushing yards in 2000, then settled into a third-down and return role. On December 22, 2001 he completed a 23-yard pass to Tom Brady for his first career completion, and New England went on to win Super Bowl XXXVI. In 2002 he returned two kickoffs for touchdowns and averaged 27.9 yards a return, second in the NFL; Madden NFL 03 rated that season 65.
On February 1, 2004 he ran for 42 yards and scored a two-point conversion in a 32-29 Super Bowl XXXVIII win, and the Patriots took a third title the next season. Madden NFL 06 rated his 2005 year 82, the highest figure of his career. He tore an anterior cruciate ligament in Week 2 of 2010 and retired on October 9, 2012 with 3,607 rushing yards, 431 receptions and 3,701 receiving yards. He was elected to the Patriots Hall of Fame in 2016.
