Eric Moulds Madden Career 1997-2007 - Peak 94 OVR

In a January 1999 playoff game at Miami, Eric Moulds caught nine passes for 240 yards, an NFL postseason record that still stands, even though the Bills lost 24-17. That was Moulds at full strength: a big, physical receiver who could win contested balls and take the top off a defense. Buffalo drafted him 24th overall in 1996 out of Mississippi State, where he had led the nation in kickoff return average, and he opened his NFL career largely as a return man before the offense ran through him.

That late start showed up in his rookie Madden rating, a 23 in the 1996 edition when nobody knew what he was. Once he broke out, the ascent was steep: a 91 in the 2000 game and a peak 93 in 2003. He set the Bills' single-season yardage mark with 1,368 in 1998 and became the first player in franchise history with 100 catches in a year, in 2002. Three Pro Bowls, 764 career receptions, and 10,228 yards, most of it in Buffalo before short stops in Houston and Tennessee.
