Antonio Freeman Madden Career 1996-2002 - Peak 95 OVR

Antonio Freeman was born May 27, 1972 in Baltimore, Maryland, played college football at Virginia Tech, and was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the third round, 90th overall, in 1995. He caught 56 passes for 933 yards in his second season, and Madden NFL 97 listed him at 21 for that 1996 season. He caught an 81-yard touchdown from Brett Favre in Green Bay's Super Bowl XXXI win over New England, the longest play in Super Bowl history at the time.

His 1998 season produced 84 receptions for 1,424 yards, which led the NFL, and brought first-team All-Pro selection and the only Pro Bowl of his career. Madden NFL 99 put him at a calculated 90 for that season, and Madden NFL 2000 put him at a calculated 95 for 1999, his highest figure. On November 6, 2000 he caught a 43-yard overtime touchdown against Minnesota after the ball bounced off his shoulder, and Madden NFL 2001 listed him at 90 for that season.

Freeman caught 46 passes for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2002, and Madden NFL 03 listed him at 78 for that year. He returned to Green Bay in 2003 for his ninth and final NFL season. He finished with 477 receptions for 7,251 yards and 61 touchdowns in 132 games, and was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame in 2009.
