Tennessee tackle, 165 games in Green Bay, Super Bowl XLV

Chad Clifton was born on June 26, 1976 in Martin, Tennessee, and played at the University of Tennessee before Green Bay took him in the second round, 44th overall, in 2000. He started 10 games at left tackle as a rookie. Madden NFL 2001 rated him 69 for that season.

A hit from Warren Sapp on November 24, 2002 left Clifton with a separated pelvis and ended his season after 10 games. He returned to start all 16 games in each of the next three seasons, and Madden NFL 05 rated him 92 for 2004. He made his first Pro Bowl after the 2007 season, and Madden NFL 09 rated him 95 for 2008.

Clifton earned a second Pro Bowl selection in 2010, the season Green Bay beat Pittsburgh in Super Bowl XLV. Back and hamstring injuries limited him to six games in 2011, a season Madden NFL 12 rated him 88, and the Packers released him in April 2012 after he failed a physical. He played 165 games for Green Bay and was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame in 2016.
