The brain of Denver's zone-blocking machine

Tom Nalen was smart and quick rather than big, the perfect center for the zone scheme that sprang one 1,000-yard back after another in Denver. The Boston College product spent his whole career a Bronco and made the system hum.

Madden gave him 95s across the 2002, 2003, 2006 and 2007 editions, the length of his prime. Two rings, five Pro Bowls and an all-decade nod later, he was among the best pivots of his time.
