Deion Sanders Madden Career 1992-2005 - Peak 99 OVR

Deion Sanders was born on August 9, 1967, in Fort Myers, Florida, played cornerback at Florida State and was drafted fifth overall by Atlanta in 1989. He returned a punt for a touchdown in his first NFL game. He also played major league baseball, and his appearance in the 1992 World Series with the Braves made him the only athlete to play in both a World Series and a Super Bowl. Madden NFL 93 put him at a calculated 95 for 1992.

He signed with San Francisco in 1994, was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year and won Super Bowl XXIX. He joined Dallas that offseason and won Super Bowl XXX. Madden NFL 97 rated him 59 for 1996, when he also lined up at receiver. His last full season came in Washington in 2000, for which Madden NFL 2001 rated him 94.

Sanders sat out three seasons and returned with Baltimore in 2004, a season for which Madden NFL 05 rated him 60, and played one more year before retiring in January 2006. He finished with 53 interceptions for 1,331 yards, nine returned for touchdowns, six punt-return scores, eight Pro Bowls and six first-team All-Pro selections. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011 and was hired as head coach at Colorado in December 2022.
