Lardarius Webb's path to the NFL ran through Nicholls State, where in his first game he picked off three passes against Rice and returned one for a score. The Ravens took the transfer in the third round in 2009, 88th overall, and he made an instant dent, housing a 95-yard kickoff return as a rookie before a torn ACL cut the year short.

Injuries would shadow him, but so would big plays. He took an interception 73 yards to the end zone in 2011 and finished with 15 career picks. His best football came in 2011, and Madden reflected it. After sitting in the low 70s early, his rating jumped to 91 in the 2012 edition, then held at 90 for three straight years. A torn ACL in Week 6 of the 2012 season put him on injured reserve, so he watched from the sideline as Baltimore beat San Francisco 34-31 in Super Bowl XLVII. He earned the ring across nine seasons, all of them in purple, before his release in 2018.
