A rusher who beat an Achilles tear at 33

Greg Ellis set the sack record at North Carolina and went eighth overall in 1998, anchoring the Dallas front for eleven seasons and reinventing himself as a 3-4 outside linebacker when Bill Parcells changed the scheme.

Madden climbed him from a 78 to a 92 by the 2006 edition, then came the defining moment, a 2006 torn Achilles. Instead of ending, he came back in 2007 for a career-high 12.5 sacks in thirteen games and won Comeback Player of the Year, the grade spiking again. He finished with 84 career sacks, best when it looked like he might be done.
