Cory Fleming set receiving records at Tennessee and was a third-round pick of the 49ers in 1994, but a salary-cap crunch led San Francisco to rescind his rights, and he signed with Dallas instead. His NFL career amounted to almost nothing: six catches for 83 yards across two seasons, a deep reserve on a loaded roster.

Madden's cards of him are among the more absurd on the roster. Fleming shows a 94 in Madden NFL 95 for the 1994 season, a first-round-caliber grade built on a 99 awareness rating and a catching score down in the 20s, a set of numbers that contradict each other and reflect a data error rather than any real evaluation of a player who barely saw the field.

Fleming won a Super Bowl XXX ring as a bit player, then was suspended for a substance violation and out of the NFL, though he went on to a long and productive arena football career that eventually landed him in the Arena Football Hall of Fame.
