Cris Carter: 1,101 catches, 130 TDs, Hall of Fame in 2013

Cris Carter was born on November 25, 1965 in Troy, Ohio, played for Ohio State, and was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth round of the 1987 supplemental draft. He spent three seasons in Philadelphia, was cut by Buddy Ryan after the 1990 preseason, and was claimed off waivers by the Minnesota Vikings on September 4, 1990 for $100.

He became a full-time starter in 1991, and Madden NFL 92 put him at a calculated 49 for that season. In 1994 he caught 122 passes, then the NFL single-season record, led the league in receptions and was named first-team All-Pro, and Madden NFL 95 rated him a calculated 94 for that season. He caught 122 again in 1995 and led the NFL with 17 touchdown receptions, which brought second-team All-Pro honors, and Madden NFL 97 listed him at 91 for the 1996 season.

He caught 78 passes for 1,011 yards and 12 touchdowns in 1998, his first season alongside Randy Moss, and Madden NFL 99 rated him a calculated 96 for that year. He was first-team All-Pro again in 1999 and made the last of eight consecutive Pro Bowls after the 2000 season. He played 12 seasons in Minnesota and five games for Miami in 2002, finishing with 1,101 receptions for 13,899 yards and 130 touchdowns. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013.
