Herschel Walker Madden Career 1992-1998 - Peak 92 OVR

Herschel Walker was born on March 3, 1962 in Wrightsville, Georgia, won the Heisman Trophy at Georgia in 1982, and turned professional with the New Jersey Generals of the USFL before Dallas drafted him in the fifth round in 1985. He made the Pro Bowl in 1987 and 1988, leading the NFL with 1,606 yards from scrimmage in the first and 1,514 rushing yards in the second. Dallas traded him to Minnesota in October 1989 in a trade involving 18 players and draft picks.

Madden NFL 92 had him at a calculated 76 for the 1991 season, his last in Minnesota. The Vikings released him on February 2, 1992 and he signed with Philadelphia that June, a first Eagles year Madden NFL 93 put at a calculated 59. In 1994 he had a 91-yard run against Atlanta, a 93-yard reception against the Giants and a 94-yard kickoff return against Cincinnati, the first 90-yard run, catch and kickoff return by one player in a season. Madden NFL 95 listed him at a calculated 90 for that year.

He spent 1995 with the Giants and returned to Dallas for 1996 and 1997, a final season Madden NFL 98 graded at a calculated 79. He competed for the United States in the two-man bobsled at the 1992 Winter Olympics, and he was the Republican nominee in the 2022 Georgia Senate election. He finished with 8,225 rushing yards, 4,859 receiving yards and 18,168 all-purpose yards.
