Undrafted Georgia fullback who spent his career in Seattle

Mack Strong was born on September 11, 1971 at Fort Benning, Georgia, played college football at Georgia, and signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 1993. He appeared in eight games in 1994 and moved into a regular lead-blocking role over the seasons that followed. Madden NFL 2000 put him at a calculated 73 for 1999.

Strong blocked for three 1,000-yard rushers in Seattle: Chris Warren, Ricky Watters and Shaun Alexander. Madden NFL 05 rated him 91 for the 2004 season. He was a first-team All-Pro and a Pro Bowl selection in 2005, the year Alexander was named NFL MVP and the Seahawks lost Super Bowl XL to Pittsburgh, and Madden NFL 06 rated him 93 for that season.

A second Pro Bowl followed in 2006, the season Madden NFL 07 rated him 97. A herniated disk in his neck, diagnosed after a game against Pittsburgh, ended his playing career, and he announced his retirement on October 8, 2007. Strong finished with 909 rushing yards, 218 receptions and 1,456 receiving yards, and he won the Seahawks' Steve Largent Award five times.
