Jordan Poyer Madden Career 2015-2025 - Peak 90 OVR
Seventh-round pick who became Buffalo's All-Pro ballhawk
Philadelphia spent the 218th pick of the 2013 draft on an Oregon State cornerback who had also been drafted by baseball's Marlins, and almost nobody expected what came next. Poyer barely played for the Eagles, landed in Cleveland, survived a lacerated kidney in 2016, then signed with Buffalo in 2017 and reinvented himself as a safety.
The 2021 season was his masterpiece. He posted five interceptions and three sacks, the only man in the league to reach both marks that year, as the Bills fielded the NFL's top-ranked defense. First-team All-Pro honors followed, and a Pro Bowl nod the next season.
Madden logged the transformation. He was a 68 in the 2013 edition and drifted in the high 60s through his Cleveland years before the Buffalo move pushed him to an 88 in the 2018 game. He topped out at 90 in both the 2022 and 2023 editions, the grade of a defense's on-field signal caller.
