Jairus Byrd announced himself with nine interceptions as a rookie and a Pro Bowl, a ball-hawking free safety who read quarterbacks with rare anticipation for Buffalo. He had a genius for being where the throw was going.
Madden had him at 72 as a rookie and a 96 by the 2014 edition, his peak. A big move to New Orleans went awry as injuries took over, but three Pro Bowls in, he was one of the most productive safeties of his era.
