The interception that ended Brett Favre's Packers career
Webster's defining play came in the frozen overtime of the January 2008 NFC Championship at Lambeau Field, where he picked off Brett Favre, the last pass Favre ever threw as a Packer, to send the Giants to Super Bowl XLII. That upset of the unbeaten Patriots capped a playoff run in which he also intercepted Jeff Garcia and blanketed Terrell Owens.
A second-round pick out of LSU in 2005, Webster spent all nine of his NFL seasons with the Giants and won a second ring in Super Bowl XLVI, another win over New England. He set a career high with six interceptions in 2011. The Madden numbers arrived a beat after the breakout: a 76 as a 2005 rookie, then a leap to 90 in the 2009 edition once he had established himself as a shutdown corner, a mark he matched again in the 2011 game. For a stretch he was the Giants' most trusted man in coverage, at his sharpest when January arrived.
