Kyle Boller: Ravens' 2003 first-rounder, 8,931 career yards
Kyle Boller was born on June 17, 1981, in Burbank, California. He started three and a half seasons at California and was taken by the Baltimore Ravens with the 19th pick of the 2003 NFL Draft. He started the first nine games of his rookie year before a quadriceps injury ended it, finishing with 1,260 yards, seven touchdowns and nine interceptions. Madden NFL 04 rated him 75 for 2003.
Boller started all 16 games in 2004, the only full season of his career, and threw for 2,559 yards and 13 touchdowns. Against the New York Giants he threw four touchdowns with no interceptions for a 112.3 rating, and he was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week in Week 14 of that season. Madden NFL 05 put him at 80. Turf toe cost him seven games in 2005, but he threw for 253 yards and three touchdowns in a 48-3 Week 14 win over Green Bay.
The trade for Steve McNair moved Boller to backup in 2006, and he made eight starts in 2007, a season for which Madden NFL 08 listed him at 76. He signed with St. Louis in April 2009 and appeared in seven games; Madden NFL 10 dropped him to 51. He spent 2010 and 2011 with Oakland and retired in July 2012. He finished with 8,931 passing yards, 48 touchdowns and 54 interceptions in 67 games.
