Brad Meester Madden Career 2002-2014 - Peak 93 OVR

Brad Meester spent his entire 14-year career snapping the ball in Jacksonville. A four-year starter at Northern Iowa, he went to the Jaguars with the 60th pick in 2000 as the first center off the board, then never left, appearing in 209 games, every one of them a start. He began at center, slid to left guard, and moved back to center in 2003, a durable constant on lines that changed around him. His ironman run reached 92 consecutive games before a torn biceps against Cleveland in December 2005 finally stopped it.

The sweetest moment of his career was almost comic. In his final home game, on December 22, 2013, the lineman lined up eligible and caught a nine-yard screen from Chad Henne for a first down, his only reception in 14 seasons. Madden tracked the plodding rise of a rock-steady pivot, from a 70 in the 2000 edition through the ups and downs of the middle years to a career-best 93 in the 2008 game, still an 88 as late as the 2012 release.
