Karlos Dansby Madden Career 2005-2018 - Peak 91 OVR

Dansby's most jarring stat is a snub. He piled up 1,422 career tackles across 14 seasons, more than Hall of Fame linebacker Brian Urlacher, and was never once voted to a Pro Bowl. The recognition never matched the resume for a player who could cover, blitz and stack the run in equal measure.

Arizona took him 33rd overall out of Auburn in 2004, and his defining play came in the January 2010 wild-card game against Green Bay. In overtime he scooped a fumble forced from Aaron Rodgers and returned it 17 yards for the touchdown that won a 51-45 shootout. He had reached the Super Bowl the year before with the Cardinals. His travels also took him to Miami, Cleveland and Cincinnati before he returned to Arizona to finish, adding eight interceptions to those tackle numbers along the way.

His Madden rating rewarded what the ballots ignored. He jumps from 76 in the 2004 edition to 85 the next year, then lives in the high 80s and low 90s for the better part of a decade, hitting a 91 in the 2012 game. Even at age 35 he graded a 90 in the 2015 edition, proof of a rare shelf life.
