Laveranues Coles Madden Career 2002-2010 - Peak 91 OVR

Laveranues Coles was born on December 29, 1977 in Jacksonville, Florida. He played at Florida State until October 1999, when he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor petty theft and was dismissed from the team. The New York Jets drafted him in the third round of the 2000 draft, 78th overall. His first NFL touchdown came in the Monday Night Miracle against Miami on October 23, 2000, and he finished the year with 23 catches for 370 yards.

Madden NFL 02 listed him at 60 for the 2001 season. He signed with Washington in 2003 and caught 82 passes for 1,204 yards, the most receptions by a Washington player since Art Monk had 86 in 1989, and was selected to the Pro Bowl. Madden NFL 04 listed him at 88 for 2003, and Madden NFL 05 at 91 for 2004.

Washington traded him back to the Jets for Santana Moss in 2005, and that September he said publicly that he had been sexually abused as a child. On September 28, 2008 he caught eight passes for 105 yards and three touchdowns against Arizona. He played 2009 in Cincinnati, and Madden NFL 10 listed him at 87 for that season. Over ten seasons and 153 games he had 674 receptions for 8,609 yards and 49 touchdowns.
