Willie Anderson: Bengals right tackle, three straight All-Pros

Willie Anderson was born on July 11, 1975, in Mobile, Alabama, and played college football at Auburn. The Cincinnati Bengals drafted him 10th overall in 1996, and he started 10 games at left tackle as a rookie before moving to right tackle in 1997. Madden NFL 98 put him at a calculated 63 for the 1997 season.

Anderson started every game he played from 1997 through 2006, missing time only in 1999, and Madden NFL 2000 put him at a calculated 87 for that 1999 season. He was selected to the Pro Bowl after the 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 seasons and named first-team All-Pro in the last three of them. Madden NFL 05 rated him 93 for the 2004 season. Cincinnati reached the playoffs in 2005 for the first time since 1990.

He played seven games in 2007, and Madden NFL 08 rated him 96 for that season, the highest figure of his career. Cincinnati released him in 2008, and he signed with Baltimore, started 11 of the 14 games he played and finished the year with a team that reached the AFC Championship Game. Anderson retired after that season having allowed 16 sacks across 13 years. The Bengals placed him in their Ring of Honor in 2022, and he reached the Pro Football Hall of Fame finalist stage in five straight elections.
