Morris Claiborne was born on February 7, 1990, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He played cornerback at LSU, where he won the Jim Thorpe Award in 2011 and was a unanimous first-team All-American. Dallas traded its first- and second-round picks to St. Louis to move up for him at sixth overall in 2012. He started 15 games as a rookie, and Madden NFL 13 rated him 81.
Claiborne started seven of his ten games in 2013. Madden NFL 25 rated him 82 during that season, the highest figure on his record. He tore a patellar tendon in October 2014 and finished that year with four appearances. Injuries held him to 11 games in 2015 and seven in 2016, his last season in Dallas, and Madden NFL 17 rated him 70 that year.
He signed with the New York Jets in March 2017 and started all 15 games he played in each of his two seasons in New York. Madden NFL 18 rated him 79 during the 2017 season. Kansas City signed him in August 2019, and he appeared in eight games before the Chiefs won Super Bowl LIV in February 2020. He did not play in the NFL again, finishing with seven interceptions in 85 games.
