Mike Wallace was born August 1, 1986 in New Orleans, Louisiana, played college football at Mississippi, and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round, 84th overall, in 2009. As a rookie he caught 39 passes for 756 yards and six touchdowns, and his 19.4 yards per reception led the NFL. Madden NFL 10 listed him at 57 for that season.
He caught 60 passes for 1,257 yards in 2010 and added nine receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown in Pittsburgh's Super Bowl XLV loss to Green Bay. In 2011 he caught 72 passes for 1,193 yards and was selected to his only Pro Bowl, and on October 23 he caught a 95-yard touchdown from Ben Roethlisberger against Arizona, then the longest pass play in Steelers history. Madden NFL 12 listed him at 87 for that season and Madden NFL 13 at 89 for 2012, his highest figure.
Wallace played 2013 and 2014 in Miami, 2015 in Minnesota, and 2016 and 2017 in Baltimore. He caught another 95-yard touchdown in 2016, a Ravens franchise record, and Madden NFL 17 listed him at 77 for that season. He played two games for Philadelphia in 2018, his tenth and final NFL season. He finished with 538 receptions for 8,072 yards and 57 touchdowns in 144 games.
