The man who forced the fumble to seal Super Bowl XLIII
With five seconds left in Super Bowl XLIII, Kurt Warner went down and the ball came loose, and LaMarr Woodley was the man who ended it. Pittsburgh took the Michigan pass rusher 46th overall in 2007, a year after he won the Lombardi Award as the best lineman or linebacker in college football. During that championship run he became the first player in NFL history to record three straight multi-sack playoff games, a streak he pushed to four in the Super Bowl itself. In 2009 he racked up 13.5 sacks and earned a Pro Bowl selection and second-team All-Pro honors. He returned to the big game in Super Bowl XLV, where the Steelers fell to Green Bay 31-25. Woodley finished with 63.5 career sacks before brief stops in Oakland and Arizona.
The ratings tracked his rise step by step. A 74 as a rookie in the 2007 edition, he climbed to 88 by 2009 and 91 in the 2010 edition, then peaked at 93 in the 2011 edition. Nagging hamstring trouble cooled the back half of his career, and the number receded to 77 by the 2015 edition.
