Trent Edwards Madden Career 2008-2013 - Peak 79 OVR

Trent Edwards was born on October 30, 1983 in Los Gatos, California, and attended Los Gatos High School. He started 30 games at Stanford. The Buffalo Bills drafted him in the third round, 92nd overall, in 2007, using a pick acquired from Baltimore in the Willis McGahee trade. He made his first start on September 30, 2007 against the New York Jets, completing 22 of 28 passes for 234 yards, and was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team. Madden NFL 08 rated him 70 overall for the 2007 season.

Edwards started 14 games in 2008. He suffered a concussion on the third play of a Week 5 loss to Arizona, then returned in Week 7 to complete 25 of 30 passes in a 23-14 win over San Diego, for which he was named FedEx Air Player of the Week. Madden NFL 09 rated him 79 for that season, his highest figure. He started seven games in 2009 before being benched for Ryan Fitzpatrick after a Week 10 loss at Tennessee, and Madden NFL 10 listed him at 76 for 2009.

Buffalo benched him again after two starts in 2010 and waived him on September 27. Jacksonville claimed him the next day, and he appeared in three games there. Madden NFL 12 rated him 73 for the 2011 season, in which he did not play a regular-season game after Oakland released him during final cuts. He played one game for Philadelphia in 2012, his last regular-season appearance, and later had training-camp stints with Chicago and Oakland. Edwards finished with 563 completions on 929 attempts for 6,033 yards, 26 touchdowns and 30 interceptions in 38 games.
