Chris Redman: Unitas Award Winner, Ravens Pick, Falcons QB

Chris Redman was born on July 7, 1977 in Louisville, Kentucky, and played college football at Louisville, where he threw for 12,541 yards and won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award in 1999. The Baltimore Ravens drafted him in the third round, 75th overall, in 2000. He attempted three passes as a rookie and was on the roster when Baltimore won Super Bowl XXXV. Madden NFL 2001 listed him at 68 overall for that 2000 season.

Redman started six games in 2002 and threw for 1,034 yards, and Madden NFL 04 had him at 75 overall for the 2003 season. He tore the labrum in his throwing shoulder at St. Louis on November 9, 2003, ending that year, and he did not appear in another NFL game until Atlanta signed him in March 2007.

He started four games for the Falcons that season and threw four touchdown passes in a 44-41 win over Seattle on December 30, 2007. Madden NFL 09 rated him 82 overall for the 2008 season, a year he did not play, and Madden NFL 10 carried him at 55 for 2009. Atlanta released him on August 28, 2012. He finished with 3,179 passing yards, 21 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in 30 games.
