Ty Warren Madden Career 2004-2013 - Peak 90 OVR

Ty Warren was the rare first-round pick who spent his prime doing work the box score buried. New England took the Texas A&M lineman 13th overall in 2003, and he became the immovable object inside their defensive front, holding blockers so linebackers ran free. He started for the Super Bowl XXXVIII team that beat Carolina and the Super Bowl XXXIX team that beat Philadelphia, part of back-to-back titles in his first two seasons.

He was voted a team captain before 2007 and earned first-team All-Pro honors that year, the peak of a run that produced 433 career tackles and 34.5 sacks over a decade split between New England and a closing stint in Denver. The first college graduate in his family, he collected his degree in 2011 and later moved into coaching.

His Madden line rose steadily with his role, from a 74 as a rookie up to a 90 in the 2008 edition, then a gradual descent into the low 80s as the injuries and years accumulated.
