Javon Walker was born on October 14, 1978 in Galveston, Texas. He spent two seasons at Jones County Junior College in Mississippi before transferring to Florida State, and Green Bay drafted him 20th overall in 2002. He caught 23 passes as a rookie, and Madden NFL 03 listed him at 69 for that season.
He caught 41 passes for 716 yards and 9 touchdowns in 2003. Madden NFL 05 opened the 2004 season with him at 84, and he finished that year with 89 receptions for 1,382 yards, 12 touchdowns and a Pro Bowl selection. Madden NFL 06 listed him at 91 for 2005, a season that lasted one game; he tore an ACL in the opener. Green Bay traded him to Denver in April 2006, and he caught 69 passes for 1,084 yards and 8 touchdowns.
On January 1, 2007 he was in the limousine in which Broncos teammate Darrent Williams was shot and killed. He played eight games in 2007, a season Madden NFL 08 graded 92, then signed with Oakland, where he was kidnapped, robbed and beaten in Las Vegas in June 2008. He played eight games that year and three in 2009 without a catch. He finished with 267 receptions for 4,011 yards and 31 touchdowns.
