Darrell Jackson: 499 catches, 7,132 yards in nine NFL seasons
Darrell Jackson was born on December 6, 1978 in Dayton, Ohio, played three seasons at Florida, and was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round, 80th overall, in 2000. He caught 53 passes for 713 yards as a rookie and was named to the PFWA All-Rookie team, and Madden NFL 2001 listed him at 76 for that 2000 season.
He passed 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in 2001 and again in 2003, when he averaged 16.7 yards a catch, and Madden NFL 04 rated him 83 for the 2003 season. In 2004 he caught 87 passes for 1,199 yards, a Seahawks single-season reception record that stood until Bobby Engram broke it in 2007, and Madden NFL 05 put him at 88 for that season. Injury limited him to six games in 2005.
In Super Bowl XL he caught five passes in the first quarter, tying Andre Reed's record, and had a first-quarter touchdown catch erased by an offensive pass interference penalty in a 21-10 loss to Pittsburgh. He caught 10 touchdown passes in 2006, and Madden NFL 07 rated him 90 for that season. Seattle traded him to San Francisco in April 2007 and he played the 2008 season in Denver, finishing with 499 receptions for 7,132 yards and 51 touchdowns in 123 games.
