Vonnie Holliday was Green Bay's first-round pick, 19th overall, out of North Carolina in 1998, and he finished runner-up for Defensive Rookie of the Year that fall. His loudest day came against Buffalo, when he sacked the quarterback five times and forced three fumbles in a single game, a Packers record that earned him NFC Defensive Player of the Week. He proved durable beyond most first-rounders, stretching a 15-year career across the Packers, Chiefs, Dolphins, Broncos, Redskins and Cardinals while shifting between end and tackle.

His Madden grades peaked early. The 2000 edition gave him an 89, the top mark of his career, built on his strong opening seasons in Green Bay. The number dipped into the high 70s when he changed teams, climbed back to 88 in both the 2003 and 2004 editions during his Kansas City and Miami work, and then faded to a 72 in the 2011 edition as he neared the end at age 35.
