Casey Wiegmann was born on July 20, 1973 in Parkersburg, Iowa, played center for the Iowa Hawkeyes, and entered the NFL undrafted, signing with the Indianapolis Colts in 1996. He appeared in three games for the Jets and one for the Bears in 1997, a season Madden NFL 98 covered with a calculated 51, and he started 15 games for Chicago in 1998.

Kansas City signed him in 2001 and he started 15 games at center that year. Madden NFL 04 listed him at 87 for the 2003 season, and Madden NFL 05 moved him to 92 after 2004, a figure Madden NFL 06 repeated for 2005. He started every game of every season from 2002 through 2011, a run that reached 175 consecutive starts.

Denver signed him in 2008, and that Broncos offensive line tied Tennessee for the fewest sacks allowed in the league. He was named to the Pro Bowl for the 2008 season as an alternate replacing the injured Kevin Mawae, the only such selection of his career, and Madden NFL 09 listed him at 85 for that year. He returned to Kansas City in 2010. Wiegmann played 227 games with 200 starts, 143 of them for the Chiefs.
