Travis Kelce was born on October 5, 1989 in Westlake, Ohio, and played college football at Cincinnati, where his older brother Jason was a teammate. Kansas City drafted him 63rd overall in the third round in 2013. Knee surgery limited him to one game as a rookie, and Madden NFL 25 rated him 73. He started 11 games in 2014 and finished that year with 862 receiving yards.
The 2016 season began a run of seven straight 1,000-yard years, a record for a tight end, and Madden NFL 17 rated him 88. Kansas City beat San Francisco in Super Bowl LIV in February 2020. He caught 105 passes for 1,416 yards in 15 games in 2020, the most receiving yards by a tight end in a season, and Madden NFL 21 rated him 97.
The Chiefs won Super Bowl LVII in February 2023 and Super Bowl LVIII a year later, and Madden NFL 24 rated him 99. Through the 2025 season he had 1,080 receptions for 13,002 yards and 82 touchdowns, all Kansas City franchise records, along with 11 Pro Bowls, four first-team All-Pro selections and the NFL record for career postseason receptions. He and Jason launched the New Heights podcast in 2022. He and Taylor Swift announced their engagement in August 2025.
