Georgia end who chased quarterbacks for 15 years and 62 sacks

Phillip Daniels came out of Georgia in the fourth round, 99th overall, to Seattle in 1996, and he kept rushing the passer into his late 30s. He piled up 62 career sacks across three stops: the Seahawks from 1996 through 1999, the Bears from 2000 through 2003, and Washington from 2004 through 2010. His signature afternoon came on December 18, 2005, when he dropped Dallas four times in a single game and earned NFC Defensive Player of the Week.

The defensive end's best Madden grade sits at the very start of the run. He opened with an 89 in the 2000 edition, the highest he would ever carry, a reflection of the nine sacks he posted for Seattle in 1999. From there the number dipped into the high 70s, then rebuilt during his Washington years, reaching 87 in the 2006 edition before the long decline that follows most linemen into their late 30s, down to a 76 by the 2011 edition.
