Rick Mirer Madden Career 1994-2005 - Peak 92 OVR

Rick Mirer was born on March 19, 1970, in Goshen, Indiana, played at Notre Dame, and was drafted second overall by the Seattle Seahawks in 1993. He made his first start on September 5, 1993, at San Diego, completing 20 of 27 passes for 154 yards in an 18-12 loss. He started all 16 games and finished 274 of 486 for 2,833 yards with 12 touchdowns and 17 interceptions; his completions, attempts and yards set rookie records, and UPI named him the AFC's offensive rookie of the year.

Madden NFL 95 put him at a calculated 92 for the 1994 season, the highest figure of his career. Madden NFL 97 listed him at 56 for the 1996 season, the year he lost the Seattle job. Seattle traded him to Chicago in February 1997, where he made three starts, and he spent 1998 on Green Bay's roster without playing before starting six games for the Jets in 1999.

Madden NFL 02 put him at 44 for the 2001 season, spent as a San Francisco backup. He started eight games for Oakland in 2003, a season Madden NFL 04 listed at 63, and he ended his career on Detroit's roster in 2004 without playing. Mirer retired with 11,969 passing yards, 50 touchdowns, 76 interceptions and a 24-44 record as a starter, and he never played a down in the postseason. He was inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame in 2008.
