T.J. Lang Madden Career 2010-2016 - Peak 92 OVR

T.J. Lang arrived as a fourth-round afterthought, the 109th pick of the 2009 draft out of Eastern Michigan, where he had started college as a defensive lineman before anyone thought to move him. His rookie moment came out of necessity: pressed into a start at left tackle when a teammate went down. He settled in at guard and stuck, playing 138 games over ten seasons and starting 113 of them, and he owns a Super Bowl XLV ring from the Packers' win over Pittsburgh.

Green Bay kept him around eight years before Detroit signed him in 2017, and the recognition finally caught up in his early thirties. He made the Pro Bowl after both the 2016 and 2017 seasons, back-to-back nods that confirmed what film watchers already knew about his hands and anchor.

His Madden numbers climbed the same slow way. He opened at a 65 in the 2009 edition, hovered in the 70s and 80s through the middle years, and topped out at a 92 in the 2015 game, right as he became the leader of that Green Bay front. He later took a broadcasting job with the Lions radio network.
