Malik Hooker was a unanimous All-American at Ohio State, a one-year starter with such natural range at free safety that the Colts took him 15th in 2017 expecting a centerfielder for a decade. The injuries had other plans, a torn ACL and MCL in his rookie year, a knee problem in 2019, and a torn Achilles early in 2020 that ended his time in Indianapolis on a sour note when the Colts declined his option.
